Aloha! Virgin America published fares to Honolulu and Maui starting at $199 each way. Not a bad real, especially when flying on the ultra-cool mood-lit planes. I knew it was a little too good to be true because East Coast flights start at $339 one way. Nonetheless, it’s not a bad deal for the off-season. The lowest price I’ve seen for flights out of JFK to HNL is $579, roundtrip. 

Could this start an airfare war? There’s a lot of competition. The big guys that fly out of the East Coast to Hawaii are American Airlines, Delta, and Hawaiian Airlines. Fingers crossed for cheeper flights down the road.
