2020 is the year of many things. But before all the madness, we actually set 2020 as the year of exploring New England. Can you believe all the years we’ve lived here, we’ve only stayed put and explored Connecticut and stayed in our comfort zone?

With summer quickly coming to an end, we’ve decided to visit Martha’s Vineyard. We’ve visited Nantucket a couple years ago and loved it, and we’ve never set foot on MV. We’re excited.

Here’s a snapshot of what I’ve got planned so far:

Getting There

I booked a round trip ferry from Woods Hole, MA to Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard. I decided to bring our car. Total cost for the family $233. Click here for Steamship Authority schedules and information.

Where to Stay

There are many accommodations on the island from cute boutique hotels to luxury properties. We’ll post a review of the property we stayed at after the trip.

Beaches

There are plenty of beaches on MV. And we plan to check out as many as we can. For a complete listing, visit https://mvol.com/beaches/

Where to Eat

Woo… I have to research this, but I’ve got my eye on Bettini at Harborview Hotel.

Have you visited Martha’s Vineyard? Any tips you’d like to share? Please do.
